Door to Door Organics

For the last 3 weeks or so I’ve been trying out a service called door to door organics.  The idea is that every week (or two weeks) they deliver a box of produce to your door.  You can select the size and to a limited extent what produce is delivered.  I’ve been wanting a better selection and quality of produce but I didn’t want to make the trip of pay the premium for a specialty market.

So far its been working out great - we have had a little trouble with the security door on the building but we have never failed to receive our box.  The quality of the fruit and vegetables has be great.  We get a mix of fruit and vegetables; door to door selects from local seasonal produce and includes non-local organic produce to round out the selection.
Since the produce is selected for us we just work to plan our menu around what we will be getting.  A few days before it is delivered we get a notice of what is in the box and can make substitutions or additions to it .  You can also set up rules for stuff you don’t ever want or things you prefer.
The small box that we get runs about $32 including delivery and has more than enough produce for two people for a week (might be too much we have been considering changing to the bitty box or going on an every other week plan)
